Sunday~no fun day
Muriel has vomited three times this am. Anti nausea drug zofran administered. She was able to then keep down 100ml of Pedialyte. Her blood pressure also spiked and screaming ensued, indicating she was in pain so toradol was given and calmed her. She is on day 3 of toradol, apparently she can only be on it for five days and then she's hooked, and we don't need that! Lortab for pain has also been ordered and on standby if she needs it. Right now a concern is lack of urine, considering the dosage of diuril and the lasix drip. She just got a bladder scan indicating she has around 100ml in there, so her kidneys are making urine. She also hasn't had a BM since Wednesday, one nurse asked if she's potty trained! Today Muriel is just not herself; lethargic. Nurses ran labs and a gas. They said they would expect her to be more like herself by now. Meanwhile, the three other kids who had surgery Thursday have gone home today! :(

ReplyDeleteHeavenly Father and Great Physician, You know our systems better than anyone. Please heal this child of Yours. Ease her pain, rest her heart. Fill Megan and Jeff with a peace that can only come from You. Give the doctors the wisdom they need to care for her as You would. Alleluiah, Amen.
