Almost done!

Update came 30 minutes early at 4:30.  They had completed the Fontan and pacemaker installation and were basically waiting to close.  We are now in the PSHU waiting room waiting for her to come up from recovery.  Certainly over the hump, though of course for the next several days there will continue to be risks.  Keeping this one short - will post more later tonight.  Ob picture of a piece of gore-tex tubing.  This is in fact the leftover material from what was cut for her Fontan, which includes an artificial bypass from the lower body to the lungs (really the whole point of this surgery).  We were frankly amazed at the size - it is meant to be there for life, and allow for the growth of her heart and body, and thus greater volumes of blood passing.  It is still larger than I imagined it would be.  That's Megan's thumb to show scale ;)

Gore-tex artificial blood vessel - this is actually inside Muriel for life
